Well, the first few minutes were promising.

Is there anything the Master's 'laser screwdriver' couldn't do?? And what was with the scrawny monkey-thing?

What was with that stupid psychic field? I mean, I was sitting them shouting "What? What? What the fricking hellfire?" Which may make no sense but aargh.

THEY KILLED THE MASTER OFF AND THEY MADE LUCY BE UNDER A SPELL OR SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And Jack as the Face of Boe. I didn't hear that. That's not possible, no way hose the Face of Boe was a different species!! And died of old age!

And then Martha left. Boo. She better come back. And how the HELL has the Titanic managed to crash through the TARDIS? The inside is in a different dimension to the outside and is probably infinite!!

CAPS LOCK DISPLEASURE AARGH SWEARWORD SWEARWORD SWEARWORD!

And yes, paradox machine is a great big reset button. How surprising.
But I did like Martha finding the people she'd known.
And how did the Doctor manage to mend the TARDIS? It got ripped apart and turned into a paradox machine then had a lot of bullets emptied to it?

And don't mention the 'Toclafane'.



In my opinion, this is probably the worst episode out of three years worth of New Who.

Two great/good episodes culminating in this. What a disappointment.

You're right. Using the Reset Button also on the TARDIS doesn't really work, since she was a paradox machine already.

I thought the monkey-Doctor-thing was disturbingly cute. But his Tinkerbell moment was...hell, there are no words for what the Tinkerbell moment was. He comes back to power by people believing him? :S

It looked like a Harry Potter movie!house elf.

And not only did he magically deage by humans believing in this man who saves them all (what's that going to do for his god complex?), he floated through the air in a magic cloud and was invincible.

Ok so what if Jack knew about the Face of Boe and pulled a prank on the Doctor and Martha..what is this whole finale was just a big fandom nightmare and didn't really happen. Maybe..yeah maybe it's still Friday and I didn't just witness crack!fic played out on tv. Who's with me?

ooooh hooo!! Some very high strug emotions there!
i found myself looking at my little bro at around 2am this morning after watching it saying "that was most definitely the weirdest episode of doctor who ever"
and i am not totally against good ole boeface being a human originally - i did write it in a fic of mine, after all. (weird)
and as for the screwdriver... is there anything the Doctor's SONIC screwdriver cannot do???
And Lucy? I liked that she shot him. The Master didn't want to live, and he wanted someone to shoot him.
and not to be a spoiler for the next season or anything, but you brought it up... martha IS still going to be around. i actually thought that the way and reason that she left him was totally justified. she needs to stop being all starry-eyed
although... the titanic crashing into the TARDIS... there was something fishy about that...

Think of it this way:

Premise 1: Jack only 'resets' every time he ages.

Premise 2: Face of Boe: last time Jack 'reset' was several million years ago.

That aside, the Tardis crashing with the Titantic? Hrmm. The hell did the Master do to it!(???) Uh, year.

Open a deadlock seal. And I doubt that it can suspend a Time Lord's regeneration and turn him in a scrawny monkey Dobby thing.

plus, if David would leave at the end of season 4 and the Doctor still had the same companion, i'd be annoyed because it would seem to be going on a new doctor - new companion rotation

For the second time, the Tenth Doctor's series ended with someone/something appearing in the TARDIS and him going 'What?' which sets up the Christmas Special

Last year, a bride appeared inside the TARDIS.
This year, the Titanic crashed through the wall of the console room.
The Christmas Special is called Voyage of the Damned and will feature Kylie Minogue as the temporary companion.

The inside of the TARDIS exists in a different dimension to the inside, that's how it's dimensionally transcedental!
The TARDIS is thought to stretch for hundreds of miles in any direction.
The TARDIS is thought to be somewhat sentient.
The hordes of Genghis Khan couldn't get through the door, but the strangely small Titanic can crash through hundreds of rooms.
