And Torchwood continues to be really rather good! Tosh, oh Tosh.
Have been off sick today, so I got around to setting up
legsofscience. (That won the poll with 14 votes, narrowly beating brains_in_boots with 12.
littledarkvoice, would you like to be credited?). I'd like a few co-mods and I need some lovely person to design a layout, header etc. Can anyone help?

Date: 2008-02-02 10:59 pm (UTC)I would encourage people to buy at least Spearhead From Space and Inferno, because they're available on DVD for as little as £9 in the High Street.
The Ambassadors of Death isn't, however.
And if anyone had a copy of the PROBE stories that they wanted to share, I for one would be rather delighted.
How about just specifying that any downloads should be flocked and mentioning that the DVDs are available?

Date: 2008-02-02 11:05 pm (UTC)But it is, of course, a little bit tricky for those of us on the other side of the pond! Shipping is just miserably high.
That said/whined, I'm all for promoting the DVDs alongside downloads! But we really, really shouldn't mention downloads in the community info, just on principle. A mod post describing what you've just said should be good.
(While I don't have the PROBE stories - WANT! - I do have "The Well-Mannered War" and "The Blue Tooth", etc. I'd be happy to share!)
Also, all of Liz's stories are available on YouTube. Neat!
This is a pretty small-scale operation, but it's worth noting that most communities that offer downloads are either moderated or only allow people to post their stuff on request - no direct links to get killed off so quickly! Food for thought, anyway.
(Icon war!)
EDIT: And by "The Well-Mannered War", I meant "The Scales of Injustice". Brain, where you at?

Date: 2008-02-02 11:25 pm (UTC)So, a mod post stating the policy and listing the YouTube links?
'The Scales of Injustice' is available on the BBC site as an ebook. I just read it there. http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/classic/ebooks/scalesofinjustice/index.shtml
Can you poor deprived Americans/Canadians access it? If so, I'll link to that as well.
Oh, The Blue Tooth *wibbles* I listened to that in August on the way down to Cornwall (7 hours car journey then 2 Doctor Who-less weeks. The cottage only had a video player. I survived on audios and found a video of The Mind Robber in a bric-and-brac shop and that was very much YAY. Despite my brother's comments about the Trout being the worst actor in the history of ever.)
Brain, where you at?
It's still over there, I haven't finished rebuilding your head yet. It's sitting next to the missing 'are'. ;)
